KK's first joy ride at age 4yrs...

So i was reading my cousin's blog about how her little one wanted to take off with the golf cart when he went golfing with daddy. I just laughed, sorry Machelle but i can relate only ours were in the car.

Kk and I had gone groceries shopping and as I was putting the groceries away i let KK sit in the car with it running but made sure that the window was down, I am worried that they will lock the doors and i won't be able to get in. We needless to say that was the least of my worries at this point. As i was putting the groceries away Kk decided to put the car in drive and i noticed that the car was driving away. She had gotten half way across the walmart parking lot before i could jump in and stop the car. She had locked the cars doors but thank goodness the window was down. As i was yelling at her to move over she had this look on her face like " Oh no what did i do, mommy help." I managed to get in and along the way scraping my feet up because they were dragging on the ground and i had flips on. Yeah not cool... Kk had jumped in the back thinking she was in a hole lot trouble which she was but we just had a heart to heart and a very very long talk. All i have to say is i am very thank full that she didn't hit the cars that were around and no other car was coming when she dashed out... yicks!!!

To this day i will always put my brake on weather the car is on, off or if no one is in it. Just my habit but to my knowledge a good one. Kk how ever will not touch the steering wheel or anything that looks fun to her but it isn't really. Her brother on the other hand, don't care he will do something over and over. Hope you get a kick cause i can laugh now. It was scary at the time a life learning experience.

Just don't think for a moment that your little ones couldn't or wouldn't because they will and can.....

Kelly, I would have been terrified. I would take the golf cart any day. I love reading stories about motherhood. Thanks
